English language homestay courses - Young learners
Course details and options
• Courses start with students arrival on a Sunday and departure on a Saturday.
• You can choose between 15 and 20 hours of formal tuition per week. See > course details
• 60 hours of corrected conversation practice per week.
• Lessons. See > Example of a typical day and > Example timetables (pdf)
• Excursions on selected afternoon/evenings always with the host or teacher. See > Special interests. A variety of materials will be used to prepare the course depending on individual needs and abilities (text books, cassettes, TV, Radio, magazines...).
• All course materials are provided.
• Personal study file.
• Language level and detailed needs assessment analysis before arrival.
• A personal audio cassette is made during lessons. This is a vital record of language learned in lessons and should be used for revision after the course.
• End of session report giving detailed needs analysis and recommendations for further study.
• Heritage junior English certificate.

Courses for young learners are planned after students complete a needs analysis and assessment test before arrival.
Our courses are designed to:
• Help young learners speak in everyday English in real situations
• Revise key grammar areas
• Learn and use new grammar structures
• Use and extend vocabulary
Young learners make clear progress in our English immersion courses, build their confidence in speaking English and get a real sense of achievement through dynamic English lessons followed up by exciting and motivating excursions and activities in the local area.
